Every ProTrain programme is delivered by an engineer or inspector who has carried responsibility on live projects — design packages, weld acceptance, turnaround scopes and failure investigations.
Certifications are verified before assignment. Trainer allocation is confirmed in your proposal, and any substitute holds equivalent certification and sector experience.
Ir. Hafiz Rahman
22 years experience
Lead Trainer — Pressure Equipment & ASME Codes
Hafiz has spent his career between the design office and the plant floor — sizing shells and heads in the morning, walking down repairs with an inspector in the afternoon. He teaches code work the way it is actually used: calculation sheets, nameplate data, and repair decisions that must survive an audit.
Certifications
ASME Section VIII Div. 1 Design
API 510 Pressure Vessel Inspector
BEM Registered Professional Engineer
Real project exposure
Pressure vessel and heat exchanger design review for a Pengerang refinery expansion
Fitness-for-service assessment on ageing separators at an East Malaysia gas terminal
Turnaround inspection planning for a Kerteh petrochemical complex
Azman Yusof
18 years experience
Senior Trainer — Welding, NDT & QA/QC
Azman has qualified hundreds of welding procedures and rejected plenty of them. His sessions run on real radiographs, real PQR packages and real client NCRs, so participants leave able to defend a weld package in front of a client inspector.
Certifications
CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector
ASNT NDT Level III (UT, RT, MT, PT)
IWE — International Welding Engineer
Real project exposure
WPS/PQR qualification programme for an offshore jacket fabrication yard in Lumut
Weld repair rate reduction programme at a structural fabrication shop in Pasir Gudang
Third-party QA/QC oversight for pipeline tie-ins in Terengganu
Ir. Lim Chee Keong
20 years experience
Senior Trainer — Piping, Flow Assurance & API Standards
Chee Keong specialises in the messy middle of brownfield work — where drawings are outdated, the line is live, and the shutdown window is already booked. He teaches decision-making, not just clause numbers.
Certifications
API 570 Piping Inspector
ASME B31.3 Process Piping Practitioner
Caesar II Stress Analysis
Real project exposure
Piping stress and support redesign after repeated flange leaks at a Gebeng chemical plant
Hot tapping and temporary repair strategy for a live utility header
Brownfield tie-in package reviews for an upstream gas processing platform
Sathish builds maintenance strategies that survive contact with a real budget. His workshops use participants' own failure history, so teams leave with a revised task list rather than a certificate alone.
Certifications
CMRP — Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional
Vibration Analyst Category III (ISO 18436-2)
RCM2 Practitioner
Real project exposure
RCM implementation across critical pumps and compressors at a combined-cycle power plant
Root cause failure analysis on repeat bearing failures in a boiler feed pump train
Spare parts and criticality review for a palm oil refinery group
