Detailed programme content

Day 1 — Terminals, FSRUs & Send-Out

  • Import terminal and FSRU layouts, storage, pumps and vaporisers
  • Open rack, submerged combustion and intermediate fluid vaporiser selection
  • Send-out pressure and flow control, metering and grid interface requirements
  • Gas quality, nitrogen ballasting, Wobbe index and interchangeability limits

Day 2 — Cryogenic Hazards & Process Safety

  • LNG properties, vapour behaviour and dispersion in tropical conditions
  • Brittle fracture, cold embrittlement and cryogenic spill protection design
  • Rapid phase transition, rollover and confined vapour hazards
  • Fire and gas detection, ESD philosophy and emergency response practice
  • Exercise: hazard walkdown of a jetty and transfer arrangement

Day 3 — Bunkering & Transfer Operations

  • Bunkering modes: truck-to-ship, ship-to-ship and shore-to-ship
  • Ship-shore compatibility, transfer procedures and checklists
  • Simultaneous operations assessment and safety and security zones
  • Custody transfer, cooldown, purging, gassing-up and inerting sequences
  • Workshop: build a bunkering operation plan and challenge it as a reviewer
